An image that leaves the screen and enters the space.

The exhibition "WCZASY. Krajobrazy wypoczynku" ("Vacations. Landscapes of Leisure") at the Polish Pavilion during Expo 2020 Dubai (16–31.03.2022), organised by the Museum of Architecture in Wrocław and the Adam Mickiewicz Institute. KOVA was responsible for colour grading, video mastering and the projection setup — an image built to work inside an exhibition space, not on a single screen.

Context and idea

( Context )

A world exhibition isn't a classic screen. Here the image works together with the architecture, the visitor's movement, and the rhythm of the whole exhibition — within the international programme of the Polish Pavilion.

( Idea )

Thinking of the material not as a standalone file, but as one of the layers of the exhibition experience. That approach comes back today in KOVA 2.0: film, space and event designed together.

( Presentation )

One of the exhibitions.
One global context.

( Outcome )

Our own post-production pipeline — proven at the scale of a world exhibition.

We did the colour grading and mastering in-house — on the same post-production pipeline used for our own films: "(Nie)zwykły Manhattan" and The Community of Speed. The medium changes with the venue. The tools, the team and the standard stay ours.

The Community of Speed is an independent documentary project — it is not affiliated with or endorsed by Porsche AG.
